Latana Phoung
Director - Producer
Born in Paris to Algerian and Chinese parents the
mezzo-soprano Latana Phoung graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under the tutelage of
Prof Laura Sarti and completed the intensive course with the
National Opera Studio. As
a scholar she was also awarded a Master's degree in Art History with
distinctions from Sorbonne University/Freie Universität. She performed at the age of nine
with the Maîtrise
de Radio France as a
soloist and chorister. She worked with conductors such as Seiji
Ozawa, Charles
Dutoit,
Kent Nagano in Théâtre
des Champs Elisées,
Salle
Pleyel
and
Radio France
and
recorded as a soloist Jean
Thibaudeau's Souvenirs
de Guerre which
received a mentioning at the Italia Prize in 1998.
Latana performed very quickly major mezzo-soprano roles
like Gluck's Orpheus, Maddalena, Brigitte by Franz Curti (Opera Studio of Geneva, Tour 2010-2012), Carmen (Questor's Theatre,
London), Marcellina (Actor's Church, London), Cherubino (France), the
Sorceress (Kent). She also sung for Longborough Festival (Don
Giovanni), Pavilion Opera (Gianetta and Notario/Carlotta) and
recently Opera Machine (Suzuki for Soho Theatre and
Bird Theatre in Japan).
An experienced
early music performer, Latana sung the solo part in Lully's Idylle
sur Paix (with Christian Curnyn),
Handel's Messiah (with Andrew Watts),
Spanish baroque songs (with Madrid
Barroco Orchestra)
and Monteverdi's Eight Book of Madrigals (with Michel Laplénie).
She recently started a series of Handel recitals with Eralys
Fernandez in the UK(Handel House Museum).
She
has worked with Susanna Stranders, Emma Kirkby, Mark Shanahan,
Michael Pollock, Liz Rowe and Raminta Lampsatis
She is pleased to announce her debut at Wateford
Royal Theatre and Wexford Opera House with The Invader composed by
Eric Sweeney and directed by Ben Barnes in May 2014.

Alexander
Winfield
is
a
Puppeteer
and
Theatre
Practitioner
who
has
worked
with
a
multitude
of
Puppet
styles
and
in
different mediums.
He
received
a
BFA
in
Film
Production
and
Direction
at
Ryerson
University,
and
since
then has
created
many
puppet‐centric
films
including
Christ
in
Wood
which
was
featured
at
the Toronto
International
Film
Festival
in
2006.
He
was
trained
in
Puppet Building
and
Performance
by
Toronto
puppeteers
the Puppetmongers,
and
studied
advanced
techniques
in
Puppet Construction
under
Montreal
artist
Mathieu
Rene.
He
has
toured
with
Theatre
d’Illusia
in
France
and
performed
for
Clay
and
Paper
theatre
at
their
annual
festival
Day
of
Delight.
He
has
also
trained
in
LeCoq technique
and
devised
theatre
at
the
Central
School
for
Speech
and
Drama
in
London where he was graduated from with a Master's degree.
Alexander
devises
his
own
shows,
using
innovative
lighting,
scenography
and
performance
to
create
unique
and
mysterious
worlds
for
adults
and
children.
His
live
shows
have
been
featured
and
won
rave
reviews
at
the
Puppets
Up festival
in
Almonte
(Canada),
the
Micro‐Festival
des
Marionnettes
in
Trois‐Rivieres
(Quebec),
the
Neo‐Griot
Lounge
in
Bermuda
and
the
OxFringe
festival
in
Oxford,
England.
Alexander
continues
to work
with
Puppets
and
is
currently
based
in
London,
England.

Eralys Fernandez composer/pianist
Born
in Havana, the Cuban Eralys Fernández came to London after winning the
prestigious award of best interpretation of Cuban music by the
National Union
of Writers and Artists in 2006. Eralys completed her Masters in Advanced
Performance (piano and harpsichord) at the Royal College of Music
and postgraduate course in Harpsichord at the Guildhall School Of Music
& Drama. Eralys has performed with major opera, ballet companies and
orchestras in Cuba, including a performance of Mozart Piano Concerto in
E flat major with the Cuban National Symphony Orchestra in 2006.
Since coming
to London she has performed as a soloist and chamber musician as well
as participating in master classes and workshops. Eralys has been interviewed
and performed live on the BBC World Service and the Radio 3 In
Tune programme and appeared many times on TV and radio in Cuba. It is her
interest to promote classical Cuban music from the baroque to more contemporary
composers. Eralys is a versatile musician playing different musical
genres including jazz, flamenco, and classical. She is also a composer
and arranger of music for piano Eralys released her debut CD “An
Afternoon in Havana” in 2010 and her second CD “Alta Gracia” in 2013.
She is also publishing a book of piano music for children and adults called
“Light and Jazzy”
